In our tradition, sinat chinam is seen as destructive and divisive. For example, it is famously attributed as the spiritual cause of the destruction of the Second Temple in Jerusalem. It contrasts with ahavat chinam (baseless love), which calls for spreading unconditional kindness and compassion.
